Job description
The Analytics Engineer role on the Retail Store Analytics team at Apple focuses on creating tools that enable data-driven decisions across Apple Retail Operations. This position requires a strong background in dashboarding and analytics, with an emphasis on using AI to enhance user experience. The successful candidate will collaborate with various teams to build scalable dashboards and data products that support decision-making. The role is critical in integrating data and AI to improve customer and employee experiences in retail.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience building analytics pipelines in a production development environment for modeling, analysis, and reporting.
- 6+ years of experience coding in SQL or PySpark and Python.
- 6+ years of experience building and maintaining dashboards in Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker with hundreds of users.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Data Science, Business) or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience managing semantic layer in tools like Cube, dbt, Snowflake, or LookML.
- 3+ years of experience developing reusable data visualization assets like Tableau viz extensions.
- 3+ years of experience working with retail data.
Responsibilities
- Create tools that enable data-driven decisions across Apple Retail Operations.
- Build and refine scalable dashboards and data products that delight users.
- Partner with Product Management, Data Science, Engineering, and Operations teams.
- Deliver dynamic and intuitive decision support through a centralized hub of canonical dashboards and AI-driven conversational data tools.
- Manage the delivery of an extensive reporting roadmap as part of a team.
