Prime Video is looking for an experienced Broadcast Systems Engineer to join the Live Sports Production Technical Operations team. This role focuses on the design, integration, and operation of broadcast production systems and the infrastructure that supports live sports events. The engineer will collaborate with network engineers, broadcast technicians, and architects to maintain a state-of-the-art broadcast campus. This position offers opportunities to work on fast-paced, high-impact projects while experimenting with new technologies.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Broadcast Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience in broadcast systems engineering within live production or media infrastructure environments.
• Experience administering Linux, Windows, and macOS systems at scale.
• Hands-on experience administering enterprise hypervisor platforms such as Proxmox VE or VMware vSphere.
• Practical scripting and automation experience using languages like Bash, Python, or Node.js.
• Solid understanding of broadcast networking fundamentals including IP addressing and VLANs.
• Experience configuring and maintaining infrastructure monitoring and alerting platforms.
• Knowledge of broadcast signal formats and transport methods such as SDI and IP media transport.
• Experience with configuration management and infrastructure-as-code tools like Ansible or Terraform.
• Experience administering Active Directory in production environments.
• Experience supporting live broadcast control room environments.
• AWS administration experience including EC2 and IAM.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration in a media environment.

• Work as part of a core engineering team to deploy and integrate production systems.
• Manage the full lifecycle of server infrastructure including procurement and automated provisioning.
• Administer Linux, Windows, and macOS systems across various environments.
• Maintain a systematic patching program for all infrastructure components.
• Approach repeatable tasks as automation opportunities by building scripts and pipelines.
• Manage and maintain Proxmox VE hypervisor clusters and remote machines.
• Continuously improve a monitoring and alerting platform for all infrastructure layers.
• Maintain records for all infrastructure assets including servers and network hardware.
• Provide on-call technical support during live broadcast events.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems and processes.
• Implement system design with a security-first mindset in collaboration with Amazon Security.
