The Field Application Engineer Manager for Cloud AI Infrastructure at Google will lead a team that acts as trusted advisors to customers, ensuring they maximize their investment in Google Cloud hardware. This role focuses on managing technical issues and improving AI/ML infrastructure through effective problem diagnosis and resolution. The team will work closely with various Product, Quality, and Engineering teams to enhance product quality and performance. The position requires deep expertise in technical infrastructure and a strong understanding of AI/ML workloads.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or IT-related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience with Linux/Unix systems and debugging issues across the hardware/software boundary on enterprise-grade server infrastructure.
• 5 years of experience in technical leadership.
• 3 years of experience with technical infrastructure, including deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• 3 years of debug or validation experience with CPU, dGPU, or TPU.

• Lead a team that participates in on-call activities and resolves system observations.
• Manage customer problems through effective diagnosis and resolution.
• Work closely with multiple Product, Quality, and Engineering teams to improve product quality.
• Develop an in-depth understanding of AI/ML workloads and underlying hardware architectures.
• Act as a consultant and subject matter expert for internal stakeholders to resolve complex deployment and operational obstacles.
