The Field Application Engineer for Cloud AI Infrastructure at Google will serve as a trusted advisor to customers, focusing on hardware analysis, debugging, and issue resolution. This role is part of the AI Infrastructure Engineering Support team, which is dedicated to maximizing customer investment in Google Cloud hardware. The engineer will collaborate with engineering and product teams to drive continuous improvement and ensure high-quality service delivery. This position requires a strong technical background and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues across various systems.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• 2 years of debug or validation experience with CPU, dGPU, or TPU.
• 2 years of experience with technical infrastructure, including deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• 2 years of experience with hardware debugging, including silicon, platform, IO interface, or memory analysis.
• Experience with Linux/Unix systems and debugging issues across hardware/software boundaries.

• Participate in on-call activities and manage server and data center CPU- and TPU-based activities.
• Manage customer problems through effective diagnosis, resolution, or implementation of new investigation tools.
• Work closely with Product, Quality, and Engineering teams to improve the product.
• Develop an in-depth understanding of AI/ML workloads and underlying hardware architectures.
• Act as a consultant and subject matter expert for internal stakeholders to resolve complex deployment and operational obstacles.
