Job description
Morgan Stanley is looking for an experienced electronic trading technical lead to enhance its equities delta1 algo trading systems. This role involves building, deploying, and supporting trading strategies and analytical tools within a fast-paced IT, quant, and trading team. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a global team are essential. The position offers the opportunity to lead teams in North America and globally while working on high-volume, low-latency trading systems.
Requirements
- Expert-level core Java knowledge in a UNIX/Linux environment
- Track record working in a front-office environment with trading and quantitative strategists
- Experience working on systems for algo trading and/or automated market making in liquid markets
- Experience with low-latency messaging middleware pub/sub technologies
- Electronic trading knowledge in cash, ETF, or futures preferred; liquid rates or FX acceptable
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into well-designed and coded solutions
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow teams both in North America and globally
- Use core Java to build and enhance trading strategies and engines
- Work directly with global trading, quant, and IT teams to advance the platform and the businesses it serves
- Engage in the full software development lifecycle from discussing requirements to deploying changes
- Work on high-volume, low-latency, resilient, scalable, and message-driven systems
