Jacobs is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern (Roadway Design) to join their Transportation team in Yakima, WA for the Summer of 2027. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in large-scale infrastructure projects while applying academic knowledge to real-world civil engineering challenges. The intern will assist in various aspects of roadway, highway, and transit design work, learning about industry-standard procedures and software. This position will provide valuable insights into the field of roadway engineering by working alongside experienced engineers and project managers.

• In pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
• Completed coursework related to transportation engineering or highway design
• Must be at least a rising Junior
• Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future

• Help prepare technical reports and design documentation
• Participate in site visits to observe roadway conditions and data collection processes
• Assist in roadway geometric design calculations and layout
• Support the development of highway plans and estimates
