As an AI Software Core Software Engineer at Qualcomm, you will develop and implement advanced machine learning techniques to enhance the Qualcomm AI Stack. This role focuses on creating tools and supporting the AI software platform, particularly in relation to the Qualcomm AI Runtime SDK and Generative AI Inference Extensions. You will work on performance profiling for Edge-AI use cases and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable AI software solutions. Your contributions will foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement within the AI Software team.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field and 2+ years of relevant work experience, or a Master's degree with 1+ year of experience, or a PhD in a related field.
• Proficiency in software tools development using C/C++/Python.
• Experience with compiler toolchains such as LLVM and GNU.
• Familiarity with build systems like Make/CMake.
• Knowledge of low-level interactions between operating systems and hardware.

• Develop in-house software tools and research third-party toolchains for the Qualcomm AI Stack SDKs.
• Conduct system-level performance and memory profiling to support efficient AI software stacks on SoCs.
• Validate, analyze, and optimize the performance and accuracy of software through detailed testing.
• Debug complex issues and perform root cause analysis to ensure high system reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable toolchains.
