The Data Scientist II position at Microsoft involves building and delivering model-driven features for Microsoft 365 Copilot. Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 2+ years of data-science experience
- OR Master's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 1+ year of data-science experience or consulting experience
- OR Doctorate in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members to define metrics and frameworks for evaluating AI/large language model systems.
- Experiment with model selection for tasks within a product or solution.
- Diagnose issues and identify opportunities for improvements within AI/LLM systems.
- Prototype and develop AI models using containerized environments to operationalize scalable tools.
- Develop and deploy systems for retrieval-augmented generation workflows.
