Job description
The Business Intelligence Engineer II role within the Prime Video Product Analytics team focuses on enhancing customer understanding through data. This team supports the Prime Video Product organization by delivering analytics solutions that connect out-of-app marketing touchpoints with in-app behavior. The position involves designing scalable analytics tools and frameworks powered by AI and automation to inform customer engagement strategies. The role is pivotal in driving insights that help optimize customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.
Requirements
- 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.
- 1+ years of SQL, ETL, or Oracle experience.
- 1+ years of processing large, multi-dimensional datasets from multiple sources experience.
- 1+ years of performing statistical analysis experience.
- 1+ years of developing automated reporting experience.
- 3+ years in the job offered or a related occupation experience.
- 1+ years of using SQL, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), or Oracle experience.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools.
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
- Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab.
- Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling.
- Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift.
- Experience in data mining, ETL, etc., and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain scalable data models, pipelines, and reporting tools for accurate marketing performance measurement.
- Lead the design, execution, and analysis of A/B tests to evaluate marketing strategies and content variations.
- Deliver deep customer insights by analyzing behavioral data and engagement patterns.
- Develop dashboards and self-service tools for stakeholders to explore data and monitor performance.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define metrics and influence strategy through data.
- Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders using data storytelling.
- Champion data accuracy, consistency, and experimentation best practices.
