Job description
KLA is seeking a mechanical engineer to join its Electronics Rack & PDU Engineering Center in Ann Arbor, MI. The team focuses on designing and developing advanced electromechanical assemblies for high-performance computing infrastructure. The role involves leading the design and delivery of next-generation rack and power distribution solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Doctorate degree with no related work experience, Master's degree with 3 years of related work experience, or Bachelor's degree with 5 years of related work experience.
- Solid foundation in mechanical design and analysis, including solid mechanics, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and finite element analysis.
- Proficiency in CAD tools, preferably Creo, and FEA software, preferably Ansys.
- Hands-on experience in electromechanical assembly design at the rack-system level.
- Familiarity with cooling technologies for server racks is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver engineering projects for rack and PDU systems, including high-power rack solutions.
- Drive schedules and deliverables, ensuring alignment with program milestones and strategic objectives.
- Apply comprehensive design principles to integrate mechanical, electrical, thermal, and regulatory requirements.
- Act as the primary liaison with internal teams, suppliers, and external partners.
- Oversee the transition from design to production, ensuring quality and on-time product shipment.
- Mentor junior engineers and actively contribute to team growth and capability building.
