The Data Engineer role at Prime Video focuses on enhancing the core data infrastructure of the Partner and Content Foundations team. The team works with large datasets in a complex data lake and warehouse environment, collaborating closely with product managers and software development engineers. The goal is to drive data-driven decision-making and support the needs of Prime Video partners.

• 3+ years of data engineering experience
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
• Experience with SQL
• Experience in Python, Perl, or another scripting language
• Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions

• Write clean, maintainable code that adheres to best practices
• Leverage AWS data processing services
• Possess broad knowledge of different data types and when to use them
• Understand data security and compliance standards to ensure alignment with company policies and regulations
• Use GenAI to improve efficiency and accelerate delivery
• Write design documents to propose solutions for data processing challenges
• Meet with peers to discuss proposed solutions
• Review design documents with product managers and senior management to communicate approaches and gather feedback
