Job description
This role involves advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work in the field of electrical engineering for semiconductor inspection and metrology systems. The position is part of KLA's Semiconductor Products and Customers business unit, which focuses on ensuring high-quality standards for chip manufacturers. The candidate will collaborate with various engineering teams and support products throughout their lifecycle, from concept development to customer deployment. The work includes designing electrical systems and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
- Doctorate degree with no related work experience, Master's degree with 3 years of related work experience, or Bachelor's degree with 5 years of related work experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Understanding of single and 3 phase power.
- Ability to hands-on troubleshoot complex electrical subsystems.
Responsibilities
- Design and release electrical systems for semiconductor capital equipment.
- Develop electrical architecture integrating with precision motion systems and automation controls.
- Perform system power analysis, load calculations, and fault protection studies.
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and regulations.
- Author electrical schematics, cable designs, and engineering specifications.
- Lead engineering design reviews and risk assessments.
- Drive issue resolution activities through root-cause analysis.
- Select and qualify electrical components for various systems.
- Support safety/regulatory evaluations and factory acceptance events.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance across multiple projects.
