The Product Marketing Customer Analytics team at Apple is looking for a data engineer to enhance customer analytics through advanced architecture and data products. This role focuses on developing scalable platforms for rapid business intelligence and data analysis. The ideal candidate will work closely with data scientists and analytic consumers to solve complex data engineering challenges. • 5+ years of relevant Data Engineering experience
• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, Mathematics or other quantitative discipline required
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering and ETL pipeline development
• 5+ years of experience in Big Data Technologies such as Spark, Lakehouse, and Trino
• Experience on Kubernetes and Docker is preferred
• Familiarity with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques working in conjunction with LLMs
• Experience with creating and consuming Model Context Protocol (MCP) services
• Experience with Snowflake

• Develop and automate large scale, high-performance, scalable platforms for faster analytics
• Design large-scale, complex applications and frameworks with low-latency and fault-tolerance
• Build and maintain custom frameworks to support engineering and analytics needs
• Partner with analytic consumers and data scientists to improve constructs and solve data engineering problems at scale
• Build data pipelines in Spark, Trino, lakehouse or similar distributed platforms and Snowflake
• Deploy data quality checks to ensure high quality of data
• Evangelize high quality software engineering practices for data infrastructure and pipelines
• Apply Generative AI and Retrieval Augmented Generation techniques to enhance data analytics capabilities
• Communicate effectively through strong documentation and technical writing skills
