Job description
The role focuses on conducting quantitative research related to market dynamics and trading signals to enhance portfolio implementation and execution. The Trading Strategy and Research Team collaborates with various departments to translate market intelligence into actionable insights. This position involves applying statistical methods to develop analytical tools and frameworks that support the trading organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing datasets, conducting analysis, and validating findings to inform strategic initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitatively rigorous discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, or Finance.
- Strong foundation in statistics and quantitative analysis, including regression analysis and hypothesis testing.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with large datasets; familiarity with SQL or similar data tools is beneficial.
- Ability to structure analytical problems and interpret quantitative results with rigor.
- Strong interest in financial markets, trading, and portfolio implementation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to translate quantitative analysis into practical insights.
Responsibilities
- Conduct quantitative research on market behavior and trading dynamics to develop insights relevant to portfolio implementation and execution.
- Translate research findings into analytical frameworks and practical applications that support the team's strategic perspectives.
- Source, construct, and maintain datasets required to support research and analytical initiatives.
- Develop quantitative models, analytical tools, and scalable processes to support research and execution analysis.
- Conduct bespoke analysis and prepare materials for portfolio managers, traders, and senior management.
- Maintain high standards of analytical rigor, including disciplined methodology and validation of results.
