The Forward Deployed Engineer for Generative AI at Google focuses on embedding within the technical ecosystems of complex partners to deploy AI-driven solutions. This role bridges product development and customer implementation, ensuring that Google's geospatial technology addresses real-world business challenges. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to leverage emerging technologies and enhance the Google Maps Platform. The position requires a balance of technical expertise and customer engagement to drive successful outcomes.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development using Python or similar coding languages.
• Experience taking production-grade AI-driven solutions from conception to launch for customers.
• Experience managing technical discovery sessions with customers.
• Experience building pipelines for structured and unstructured data using vector databases and Retrieval-Augmented Generation architectures.

• Serve as a developer for complex AI applications, transitioning from rapid prototypes to production-grade workflows.
• Architect and code the connective tissue between Google’s AI products and customer's live infrastructure.
• Build high-performance evaluation pipelines and observability frameworks to ensure systems meet accuracy and safety requirements.
• Identify repeatable field patterns and friction points in Google’s AI stack and convert them into reusable modules.
• Co-build with customer engineering teams to instill Google-grade development best practices.
