The Security Engineer for Data Center Network Device Security at Google will focus on creating and maintaining a secure operating environment for users and developers. This role involves working with network equipment and monitoring systems for potential attacks and intrusions. The engineer will collaborate with software engineers to identify and rectify security vulnerabilities. Additionally, the position requires scoping and performing comprehensive security reviews of network devices intended for deployment in Google data centers.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with security assessments or security design reviews or threat modeling.
• 2 years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security, and security protocols.
• 2 years of coding experience in one or more general purpose languages.

• Identify security issues and implement and design security controls, tools, and services to improve security systems and processes.
• Develop and refine threat models, perform security reviews, and define security requirements for network device products entering Google’s data centers.
• Perform AI-supported security review campaigns on specifications and platforms' firmware including binaries.
• Provide subject matter expertise to Platform Infrastructure Engineering teams designing and developing the next-generation data center hardware.
