The Principal Scientist in Analytical Development at Elanco will lead method development activities for therapeutic proteins within the biologics portfolio. This senior scientific role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to support the commercialization of large molecule products. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in biologics analysis and a strong background in analytical techniques. The position emphasizes leadership, mentoring, and effective communication within a diverse and inclusive work environment.

• Ph.D. in analytical chemistry/biochemistry or related field with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, M.S. with a minimum of 12 years, or B.S. with a minimum of 16 years of experience.
• Knowledge in the development of biologics, including monoclonal antibodies and complex protein modalities.
• Strong background and experience in separations science and extensive experience with UPLC/HPLC analysis of biologics.
• Experience in microbiological techniques, ELISA, PCR, and cell-based analytics is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop talent through good mentoring skills.

• Lead program-specific method development activities for therapeutic proteins.

• Design, execute, and direct the development and qualification of assays for clinical trial material.
• Author and review internal technical reports and sections of regulatory filings.
