The Analytics Engineering Manager II, Core Data Science at Pinterest will lead a high-performance team focused on enhancing the quality and speed of data science initiatives. This role emphasizes building robust data foundations and tools while collaborating closely with the Core Data Science organization. The ideal candidate will leverage AI to improve workflows and ensure data quality, all while fostering an inclusive team culture. This position is pivotal in shaping the future of both people-facing and business-facing products.

• 6+ years of experience working with data in a fast-paced, data-driven environment, including experience managing engineers.
• Ability to manipulate large data sets with high dimensionality and complexity; fluency in SQL and a scripting language such as Python or R.
• Experience conducting workflow orchestration and ETL/ELT with huge, complicated datasets.
• Consistent track record of supplying analytics solutions to existing teams.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI to improve speed and quality in day-to-day workflows.
• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.

• Build, inspire, and grow a high-performance, diverse team of analytics engineers.
• Develop best practices for instrumentation and experimentation and communicate those to product engineering teams.
• Build and prototype AI tools and analysis pipelines iteratively to provide insights at scale.
• Use AI to accelerate analysis, prototyping, and iteration while ensuring correctness and quality.
• Work closely with Data Scientists and Engineers to build tools and processes for self-service of key datasets.
• Contribute to comprehensive documentation of tools and datasets, driving strategy for better data quality.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to build and communicate key insights with product managers, engineers, designers, and researchers.
