Pinterest is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to enhance the quality and speed of data science initiatives. This role involves leading a diverse team of analytics engineers and collaborating closely with the Core Data Science organization. The engineer will focus on building robust data foundations and tooling, while leveraging AI to improve analysis and prototyping. The position emphasizes mentorship, cross-functional collaboration, and the development of best practices in data handling.

• 6+ years of experience working with data in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
• Fluency in SQL and a scripting language such as Python or R, including experience with nested data structure manipulation and query optimization.
• Experience conducting workflow orchestration and ETL/ELT with large datasets.
• A proven track record of delivering analytics solutions and defining impactful objectives.
• Demonstrated ability to use AI to enhance workflow efficiency and quality.
• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.

• Lead and mentor a diverse team of analytics engineers.
