The Assistant Resident Engineer will support construction management teams in delivering various wastewater treatment plant construction projects in Orange County, California. This role involves working closely with Lead Resident Engineers and collaborating with project teams that include Project Engineers, Estimators, Inspectors, and Schedulers. The focus is on ensuring successful project delivery through effective teamwork and communication. The position requires a proactive approach to managing technical decisions, schedules, and stakeholder engagement.

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering or Construction Management
• Prior experience in the administration of construction contracts and inspection of construction work in the field
• Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or other professional qualification is preferred

• Support project teams on technical decisions, schedule reviews, and change management
• Participate in project meetings with contractors and stakeholders
• Engage in the contract change process including responding to requests for information
• Develop and issue requests for proposals and prepare engineer's estimates
• Review construction submittals for compliance with technical specifications and contract documents
