The Location Technology System Test Engineer, Senior at Qualcomm is responsible for testing and validating location technology systems that integrate software and hardware components. This role involves executing system-level test plans for various positioning technologies, including GNSS and sensor-based solutions. The engineer will work closely with software, systems, and algorithm teams to identify and resolve issues while leveraging AI-assisted workflows to enhance testing efficiency. The position requires a strong understanding of end-to-end location systems and the ability to analyze complex data to ensure accuracy and performance.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field and 1 year of Systems Test Engineering experience.
• PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Execute system-level testing for location technologies including GNSS, WWAN-based positioning, WLAN-based positioning, and sensor-based positioning.
• Design and execute test plans validating functional behavior, continuity, and stability of sensor-assisted and fused location outputs.
• Collect and analyze logs, traces, sensor data, and positioning outputs to identify system-level issues impacting location accuracy.
• Perform log and trace analysis across GNSS, WWAN, WLAN, and sensor subsystems to isolate root causes of positioning failures.
• Use agentic AI tools to assist with automated execution of location system tests and post-processing of large datasets.
• Communicate location system issues and results clearly to software, systems, and algorithm teams.
• Develop and maintain functional and system tests ensuring correct behavior of sensor-based and multi-technology location features.
