The Data Platform Engineer role focuses on building and operating scalable data pipelines and storage solutions to enhance cybersecurity operations. • Deep, demonstrable expertise in data platform architecture and engineering.
• Extensive, hands-on experience building and operating large-scale data pipelines using technologies such as Cribl, Kafka, Spark, Flink, or Airflow.
• Deep expertise in data lake and data warehouse architecture at enterprise scale.
• Proven, in-depth experience with cloud-native data infrastructure including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong understanding of security telemetry types and the challenges of ingesting and normalizing them at scale.
• Advanced proficiency in a major programming language such as Python, Go, Java, or Scala.
• Deep experience with schema design, data modeling, and metadata management for large datasets.
• Solid grounding in cybersecurity fundamentals, particularly SOC operations.
• Extensive experience with various database technologies.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals including CI/CD and automated testing.

• Design, build, and operate scalable, resilient data pipelines that ingest security relevant telemetry.
• Develop robust normalization and enrichment logic for SOC telemetry formats.
• Architect and maintain the storage backbone for SOC data.
• Build and operate data lake infrastructure optimized for high-volume security telemetry.
• Ensure seamless delivery of normalized SOC data into analytics platforms.
• Continuously tune pipeline throughput and query performance.
• Implement monitoring and self-healing capabilities for pipeline uptime and data quality.
• Define and enforce data schemas and metadata standards.
• Build reusable frameworks for rapid onboarding of new telemetry sources.
• Ensure secure handling and compliance of sensitive security data.
