Job description
NVIDIA is seeking a creative and highly motivated engineer to join the Tegra system-on-chip (SoC) Software organization. This role focuses on designing key aspects of Tegra SoC kernel drivers and embedded software, with an emphasis on advancing ARM SoC on pre-silicon and silicon platforms. The engineer will work closely with hardware and software teams to bring up new platforms and products. This position offers the opportunity to influence hardware architecture and system software.
Requirements
- BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of relevant software development experience
- Proven leadership skills and strong ownership on past projects
- Hands-on technical experience with complex software and hardware designs
- Outstanding C programming and low-level driver experience
- Experience with ARM based processor architecture
- Familiarity with computer system architecture, microprocessor, and microcontroller fundamentals
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and verify features for the next generation SoC architecture
- Collaborate with hardware engineers and fellow software engineers
- Engage in early modeling simulation required for product development
- Work closely with hardware, silicon, and pre-silicon teams to bring up new platforms and products
- Craft, develop, unit test, document and maintain features for Tegra SoCs
- Influence hardware architecture and system software by creating architecture and design specifications
