The AWS Global Accelerator team is seeking experienced full-stack software development engineers to create new features for their globally distributed network service. This role involves collaborating with a diverse team to enhance network performance for various applications. The ideal candidate will be passionate about distributed systems and writing clean code while contributing to a platform that supports critical internet workloads. You will have the opportunity to engage with AWS customers and drive impactful design decisions.

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience with design patterns, reliability, and scaling
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
• Experience in web services/cloud computing, software licensing, telecommunications or equivalent

• Own defining, scoping, designing, developing, and shipping features for the AWS Global Accelerator service.
• Make critical design decisions that impact various AWS services.
• Design new systems from scratch or improve existing systems while owning the technical direction for the initiative.
• Mentor and guide team members to solve complex problems with simple solutions.
• Drive ideas to improve availability and performance of the AGA Control Plane, including public-facing APIs and provisioning workflows.
• Develop high-quality, testable, and maintainable software while participating in code reviews.
