Job description
The Systems Engineer role within Amazon's Robotics Delivery & Packaging Innovations (RDPI) team focuses on deploying advanced industrial automation technologies across North America. This position requires strong technical skills in mechanical, electrical, and network systems, as well as project management capabilities. The role involves extensive travel, with expectations of over 75% travel to various project sites. The team collaborates closely with cross-functional partners to ensure successful implementation and integration of robotic systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience with technical drawings and/or reading CAD models.
- 1+ years of experience working on mechanical, electrical, IT networked, or software systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot robotics systems to resolve escalations.
- Practical understanding of network fundamentals such as DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP.
- 1-3 years of experience working in a field engineering, construction, manufacturing, or warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Support and guide installation of robotics, packaging, and sortation technologies at Amazon fulfillment centers.
- Develop detailed knowledge of the operation of robotic systems and guide installation and troubleshooting.
- Manage technical ambiguity around integration of work cells in fulfillment centers.
- Collaborate with hardware engineering, technical program managers, and internal customers.
- Travel to project sites and ensure all business stakeholders are aligned on program status.
- Manage day-to-day project scheduling and budget management.
