The Data Center Commissioning Engineer (CxE) role at AWS involves overseeing the testing and validation of electrical and mechanical infrastructure in data centers. • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• 4+ years of commissioning experience
• 5+ years of engineering, installation, or startup/commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers
• Professional Engineer License
• Experience with building codes and regulations for your region
• Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents

• Provide testing and validation oversight of AWS data center electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
• Review design documents and equipment submittals.
• Lead Factory Witness Testing (FWT) and manage third-party commissioning vendors.
• Audit Cx vendors' activities to ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and safety requirements.
• Regularly report commissioning progress and metrics to the Regional Commissioning Manager.
• Coordinate site activities and prioritize tasks across AWS engineering, capacity delivery, operations, and contractor teams.
• Communicate lessons learned upon project completion to assist peers on similar projects.
