Requirements
- PhD in Materials Science & Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, or Physics.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in capacitor or passive component technologies.
- Extensive professional experience across tantalum polymer, aluminum polymer, aluminum electrolytic, film, and safety capacitors.
- Proven ability to work as an individual contributor in a cross-functional environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with suppliers and driving solutions.
Responsibilities
- Own Apple's technology strategy across various capacitor families.
- Predict component performance based on supplier process choices.
- Collaborate closely with Passive Component Technologists and commodity managers.
- Manage development programs to ensure successful and on-schedule delivery.
- Evaluate supplier process and material claims from first principles.
