The Senior Software Engineer at StubHub will focus on designing and maintaining core engineering infrastructure that supports system scalability, reliability, and maintainability. This role involves collaborating with various development teams to ensure alignment with architectural standards and performance requirements. The engineer will also contribute to infrastructure modernization efforts and improve system resiliency. The position allows for telecommuting up to two days a week, with a requirement to report to the Los Angeles office when not working remotely.

• Bachelor's degree or U.S. equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer or Software Developer.
• 2 years of professional experience developing robust, mission-critical systems using programming languages such as C/C++, Java, C#, Rust, React, and OOP languages.
• 2 years of professional experience designing and optimizing distributed systems, including microservices architectures built with Java and Spring Boot.
• 2 years of professional experience analyzing and enhancing system scalability, reliability, and performance metrics.
• 2 years of professional experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including software engineers, product managers, and data scientists.

• Design and maintain core engineering infrastructure, including shared frameworks and internal platforms.
• Develop and improve enterprise-level architectural patterns that support system scalability and reliability.
• Build and refine shared services and backend infrastructure for consistent service-to-service communication.
• Review system designs across teams to ensure alignment with established architectural standards.
• Identify structural system limitations and implement improvements to enhance stability and efficiency.
