Job description
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will lead the manufacturing team in Plainfield, IN, focusing on building effective teams and driving results in a high-volume production environment. This role requires collaboration across functions to streamline processes and achieve shared business outcomes. The manager will also be responsible for cultivating innovation and developing talent within the team. A strong emphasis will be placed on health and safety, ensuring a proactive workplace culture.
Requirements
- 7–10 years of plant manufacturing experience with demonstrated leadership in a high-volume or complex production environment.
- Site Manufacturing Engineering leadership experience providing daily technical direction across refurb, delining, drivetrain, automation, and capacity-expansion operations.
- Proven ability to lead end-to-end capital projects including scope development, business case creation, vendor management, execution oversight, and safe, on-time startup.
- Strong cross-functional engineering support capability for major initiatives such as automation deployment, line reconfiguration, equipment moves, and new process introductions.
- Expertise in HSE-focused engineering including machine safety, ergonomics, dust/emission controls, and closure of risk assessments with engineered solutions.
- Education in STEM or related field, or equivalent experience required.
