Job description

The Senior Technical Program Manager will lead the Hardware Server Platform development for Azure's cloud technologies and services. This role involves building cross-team partnerships to transform hardware concepts into scalable solutions. The successful candidate will manage technical program management for new cloud hardware development while ensuring effective communication and risk management. This position is critical to supporting Microsoft's cloud growth and delivering high-quality infrastructure on time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a virtual team of functional leads to document a clear Plan-of-Record for new product development.
  • Drive the development, planning, and execution of a holistic cross-functional product development strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal and external technology development partners to form a cohesive development plan.
  • Ensure effective communication and escalation of risks and dependencies.
  • Conduct risk management efforts in new product introduction and scenario planning.
  • Communicate regularly with senior management, highlighting risks and providing recommendations.
  • Ensure cross-functional alignment and readiness for new Data Center infrastructure development.
  • Use program management tools to ensure common understanding of the program plan.
