Jacobs is seeking a mid-level Transportation Drainage Engineer to join their Dallas or Fort Worth office, focusing on highway, bridge, and rail projects across Texas and other states. The ideal candidate is an experienced drainage professional who enjoys working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. This role offers opportunities for task leadership and broader leadership responsibilities over time. The engineer will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to contribute to the planning, analysis, and design of transportation drainage systems.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a U.S. ABET accredited school or equivalent.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas or the ability to obtain it within six months if licensed in another state.
• At least 5 years of experience in mid- and/or large-scale transportation-related projects providing drainage design, hydrologic, and hydraulic analyses.
• Ability to communicate effectively and coordinate all drainage design phases of a project with other team disciplines.

• Work in a team environment with other project engineers on detailed enclosed storm drainage analysis and design for urban and rural transportation projects.
• Conduct drainage analysis and design per project requirements and various transportation and public works agencies.
• Support the preparation of contract drainage drawings, specifications, and estimates.
• Prepare project-specific drainage and hydraulic reports and technical memoranda.
• Provide hydraulic impact analysis for cross drainage structures and incorporate results into designs with other disciplines.
• Assist with mentoring and technical development of junior engineers.
