Qualcomm is seeking a highly skilled Modem Hardware Design Engineer to join their advanced design organization. This role focuses on AI-driven methodologies and next-generation modem hardware development, blending traditional design expertise with cutting-edge technologies. The engineer will work closely with hardware, system, RF, firmware, and software teams to deliver first-time-right silicon. The position requires strong collaboration and communication skills to ensure successful project outcomes.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years, or a PhD with 2+ years.
• Strong expertise in RTL coding and logic design for wireless modem ASICs or custom datapath components.
• Solid understanding of Verilog, SystemVerilog, C/C++, and SystemC.
• Experience with synthesis, industry LINT, clock domain crossing, and low power design and verification.
• Background in wireless/wireline modem technology, DSP, or communication systems.

• Define specifications and architecture/micro-architecture for modem hardware.
• Develop RTL and optimize for area, power, and performance.
• Collaborate closely with verification, modeling, and physical implementation teams.
• Engage with system, RF, firmware, and software teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Utilize AI-driven methodologies and automation frameworks to enhance design processes.
