The Virtual Design and Construction Engineer Lead (VDC Lead) role at Jacobs involves providing management and leadership in VDC/BIM/Digital Delivery. This position is based in Tempe, Arizona, and may require travel to various unanticipated worksites across the US. The focus is on aligning technologies with client goals and overseeing the digital delivery scope for project estimates. The VDC Lead will also serve as a subject matter expert in BIM and coordinate various aspects of construction processes.

• A Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Five years of work experience in the job offered or a related Design and Construction Engineer occupation within the construction industry.
• Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies and their application in manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.

• Provide VDC/BIM/Digital Delivery management and leadership by aligning technologies with internal and client goals.
• Create and implement Design and Construction BIM Execution Plans for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management.
• Integrate VDC tasks including 3D logistics and safety planning, 4D scheduling, and 5D cost and quantity take-offs.
• Define, coordinate, administer, and manage the use of the Common Data Environment from design to construction.
• Kick-off, manage, and track progress on Clash Detection for Design Teams and Trade Partners.
• Serve as a BIM Subject Matter Expert on projects in design and construction.
• Manage model redline and as-built processes, verifying construction installs with model-based practices.
• Lead and facilitate reality capture for progress reporting and support for field employees.
