The Principal Data Scientist role is part of the Industry Solutions Engineering team, which focuses on collaborating with customers to develop innovative cloud-based solutions. This position involves leveraging AI and statistical techniques to analyze data and identify trends, ultimately transforming customer missions. The role requires working closely with a cross-functional team to build high-impact engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science and a commitment to ethical data practices.

• Doctorate in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 5+ years of data science experience, OR
• Master's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 7+ years of data science experience, OR
• Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field AND 10+ years of data science experience, OR
• Equivalent experience.
• Candidates must have an active TS/SCI security clearance and be willing to upgrade to TS/SCI with polygraph.

• Oversee data acquisition and ensure data is properly formatted and described.
• Coach engineers in data cleaning and analysis best practices.
• Identify gaps in current data sets and drive ethics and privacy discussions around data collection.
• Evaluate team models and recommend improvements as necessary.
• Conduct thorough reviews of data analysis and modeling techniques.
• Research and maintain deep knowledge of industry trends and technologies.
• Define business, customer, and solution strategy goals.
• Partner with other teams to identify and explore new opportunities.
