Job description

The Software Engineer II - Full Stack role at Microsoft involves designing, developing, and validating software that enhances the Windows ecosystem, particularly for printers, cameras, Bluetooth accessories, and mobile connectivity devices. The Windows Servicing & Delivery Team is responsible for ensuring security and quality updates across all Windows platforms. This position emphasizes writing high-quality code, driving testing and debugging, and improving the overall reliability and performance of Windows experiences. Collaboration with various teams is essential to deliver seamless connections between Windows and user devices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Build and contribute to Windows platform capabilities that connect PCs to a broad ecosystem of devices.
  • Design, implement, test, validate, and release new capabilities, security fixes, and reliability improvements for Windows platform components.
  • Write secure, maintainable, and well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
  • Use diagnostic techniques to validate assumptions, identify risks early, and prevent customer-impacting issues.
  • Utilize AI-powered development tools to enhance implementation, testing, debugging, and documentation.
  • Apply insights from various reviews and investigations to improve the development and long-term health of Windows platform components.
  • Collaborate with engineers across Windows and partner teams to resolve complex technical issues and maintain high standards for code quality.
