Job description
The role is focused on advancing research in areas such as Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Computer Vision within Microsoft's Azure Data engineering team. The team is dedicated to transforming analytics and building AI-ready databases that support application development. The position involves collaborating with various research groups and contributing to the development of innovative algorithms and tools. Candidates will have the opportunity to publish research and engage in cross-company projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
Responsibilities
- Master one or more subareas of research and gain expertise in a broad area.
- Identify and articulate problems in research that impact business opportunities.
- Advance a research agenda through projects yielding new algorithms, prototypes, or insights.
- Expand collaborative relationships with product and business groups as a domain expert.
- Collaborate with researchers and engineering teams to contribute to a research agenda.
- Publish papers as lead author for high-quality conferences and journals.
