As an Engineering Manager in the Special Projects group at Apple, you will lead a team focused on innovation in the areas of Simulation and AI/ML. This role involves working on ambitious projects that utilize both traditional and generative AI techniques. You will foster collaboration within your team and across functions while managing the development of high-quality software and content. The ideal candidate will be passionate about customer experience and have a strong background in software engineering and 3D content production.

• 7+ years of experience developing software and content as an engineer or a technical artist
• Strong software engineering background
• Experience as a software engineering team manager
• Experience with 3D content production in video games, film, or visual effects
• Experience with contemporary generative AI for coding and 3D data generation
• Strong communication and presentational skills
• Experience with USD format and APIs
• Experience with contemporary simulation systems such as Omniverse, IssacSim, or Gazebo is a big plus

• Lead the Simulation Content team and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Foster collaboration within the team and with cross-functional groups
• Prototype and iterate on ideas to achieve high-quality implementations
• Build a culture of collaboration and productivity within the team
• Grow engineers of varying levels toward their career goals
