The Alexa Shopping - Core team is seeking a Software Development Engineer to create innovative shopping experiences using voice and AI technologies. This role involves working on various aspects of retail and Alexa frameworks, focusing on LLM-powered and agentic AI shopping experiences. The engineer will have the opportunity to design, build, and ship features that enhance customer interactions with Alexa. • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards and code reviews
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

• Design and build end-to-end features for retail shopping experiences on Alexa.
• Develop and iterate on GenAI and agentic AI capabilities for customer-facing shopping experiences.
• Own services from design through production, ensuring clean and maintainable code.
• Collaborate with product managers and applied scientists to define and ship features.
• Troubleshoot production issues and participate in on-call rotations to improve operational health.
• Experiment and balance speed of delivery with long-term system quality.
