As a Software Development Engineer at Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, you will design, implement, test, deploy, and operate core components for production-ready AI agents. • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience

• Design, build, test, deploy, and operate highly available control plane APIs and data plane services for production AI agents.
• Build secure, isolated execution capabilities spanning tool orchestration, memory, context management, and observability.
• Develop integrations between Amazon Bedrock and third-party models and services.
• Implement versioning, endpoints, progressive deployment, rollback, evaluation, and optimization capabilities.
• Analyze and improve latency, scalability, availability, resource efficiency, and cost controls across multi-tenant workloads.
• Simplify the developer journey across APIs, SDKs, CLI, console, and infrastructure as code.
• Work directly with customers and partner teams to identify and reduce friction in the development process.
• Contribute to architectural decisions within Harness and collaborate with teams across AgentCore.
