The Java Developer position is a senior-level role focused on leading applications systems analysis and programming activities within the Technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in JAVA, SQL, and related technologies, and will work on the Cross Functional Prime Reference Data platform. This role requires a self-driven individual who can collaborate with global teams and stakeholders to enhance system functionalities and drive process improvements. The candidate will also mentor mid-level developers and ensure compliance with industry standards.

• 6-10 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role
• Extensive experience in system analysis and programming of software applications
• Very strong JAVA/Spring/SQL hands-on experience working on a distributed platform
• Strong working experience in Kafka/messaging
• Strong working experience in caching products such as Gemfire or Redis
• Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development
• Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
• Master’s degree preferred

• Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals and identify necessary system enhancements.
• Resolve a variety of high-impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes and system processes.
• Provide expertise in applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint.
• Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business integrate to accomplish business goals.
• Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions.
• Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary.
• Assess risk when business decisions are made, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
