Job description
The Automation AMHS Equipment Engineer role at Intel focuses on designing, developing, testing, and debugging software solutions for automated material handling systems in a cleanroom environment. This position is part of the Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS) team, which plays a critical role in supporting Intel's manufacturing operations. The engineer will work collaboratively with various teams to enhance factory performance and ensure seamless integration of new products. This role is essential for maintaining operational consistency and delivering high-quality results across Intel's foundries.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related STEM field with 3+ years of work experience, or a Master's degree with 2+ years of experience.
- 1+ years of experience using Model-Based problem solving techniques.
- 1+ years of experience with CAD/CAM/CAE tools such as AutoCAD or Solidworks.
Responsibilities
- Own, design, develop, test, validate, debug, and sustain software solutions for automated material handling and storage systems.
- Work with firmware, drivers, operating systems, database platforms, firewalls, and algorithms to enhance system performance.
- Support the integration, installation, qualification, and startup of AMHS and manufacturing equipment.
- Enable automated movement and storage of semiconductor wafers and reticles across the Oregon foundry campuses.
- Troubleshoot operational issues, manage escalations, and drive timely resolution of system events.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve system reliability, performance, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with IT services to optimize factory operations and integrate new product introductions into factory environments.
