As an Operations Engineer at Amazon, you will manage the lifecycle of complex cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing sortation and distribution solutions. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
- Experience in construction or project management
- Knowledge of MS Excel, AutoCAD, MS Project, and technical document writing software such as Visio, Word, or PowerPoint
- 2+ years of vendor management experience
- Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing, transportation/logistics, and/or fulfillment/distribution centers
Responsibilities
- Manage the lifecycle of challenging projects and act as the owner in delivering project objectives and targets.
- Participate in engineering reviews and impact proposed solutions on system architecture and facility processes.
- Partner with teams and vendors to set project priorities, establish milestones, and drive schedules.
- Lead execution efforts in delivering systems and automated equipment designs per established standards.
- Communicate project status, risk analysis, and risk mitigation plans promptly and accurately.
- Articulate system and equipment designs to internal customers and partner teams.
- Manage change order controls, purchase orders, and invoice validations.
- Identify and lead process improvement initiatives to enhance engineering efficiencies.
- Travel up to 80% domestically to support project execution.
