Job description
The Silicon Engineering Manager for EMIR and Power Grid, AI/ML at Google will lead a team focused on developing cutting-edge TPU technology that powers AI/ML applications. This role involves managing the power grid distribution and integrity team, ensuring robust design reliability through comprehensive analysis and collaboration with various engineering teams. The manager will drive innovations in power delivery and reliability solutions while overseeing the technical evaluations of EDA tools and methodologies. This position is critical in shaping the future of AI/ML hardware acceleration.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of technical experience in physical design disciplines involving power delivery and advanced process technology nodes.
- 3 years of experience in people management and developing employees.
- Experience with power grid integrity (EMIR) from initial budgeting to analysis, verification, and final signoff.
- Experience using standard EMIR tools like RedHawk, Totem, and Voltus.
Responsibilities
- Direct, manage, and set strategy for the power grid distribution and power integrity team.
- Manage the electromigration (EM) and voltage drops (IR drop) team to complete analysis at various levels.
- Collaborate closely with physical design, STA, package, and circuit teams to define EMIR budgets and signoff methodologies.
- Work with internal groups and external software vendors to establish priorities for key EMIR tools.
- Own team growth by creating customized development plans and fostering a collaborative environment.
