The Senior Engineering Manager for Fleet Data Services will lead the team responsible for Google Cloud's core capacity data and infrastructure. This role involves overseeing specialized engineering tracks that drive systems for Google Compute Engine and AI/ML infrastructure. The manager will focus on transitioning to a unified data architecture and ensuring the availability and scalability of critical services. This position requires strong technical leadership and people management skills.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience programming in C++.
• 7 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems.
• 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
• 5 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.

• Define the multi-year strategy and OKRs for GCE capacity data and infrastructure.
• Lead the transition from fragmented pipelines to a unified, near-real-time data architecture.
• Own the availability, scalability, and 24/7 SLOs of low-latency RPC interfaces and large-scale data pipelines.
• Serve as the primary liaison between upstream infrastructure teams and downstream consumers.
• Recruit, mentor, and scale an engineering organization of software engineers and Tech Leads.
