Job description
This internship position is within the Systems Engineering Team at KLA, focusing on advancing business priorities through high-impact work. The role involves conducting experiments and simulations to inform system design, as well as developing software features for simulation and data analysis. Interns will gain exposure to the semiconductor industry and work with cross-functional teams. Successful completion of projects will lead to visibility and opportunities to present findings to senior management.
Requirements
- PhD Level Degree with a background in Physics or Engineering (electrical, mechanical, or optical)
- Proven experience in at least one programming language like Python or C#
- Experience with software tools such as Matlab or Labview
- Understanding of optical, electrical, mechanical, and software systems is a plus
- Enthusiastic communication skills for providing guidance and technical summaries
Responsibilities
- Conduct experiments and simulations to provide inputs to system design
- Develop software features to standardize simulation and data analysis
- Write reports and transfer knowledge to other team members
- Present project summaries and learnings to senior management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance project outcomes
