Job description

This role involves assisting in the development, release, and support of KLA Film metrology products within the Film and Scatterometry Technology division. The team focuses on delivering high-impact solutions for advanced semiconductor manufacturing, ensuring performance and process alignment with customers. The successful candidate will leverage their technical knowledge to understand customer applications and develop technologies to solve complex challenges. Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with colleagues and providing technical summaries.

Requirements

  • PhD candidate with a background in Experimental Physics or Engineering (electrical, mechanical, optical, etc.)
  • Understanding of optical, electrical, mechanical, and software systems and their interactions in complex industrial equipment is a plus.
  • Enthusiastic communicator capable of providing detailed guidance and technical summaries.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, release, and support of KLA Film metrology products.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer applications to resolve challenging problems.
  • Collect and filter observations to generate problem statements and produce data collection plans.
  • Analyze data and prescribe corrective actions.
  • Communicate effectively through oral, written, and published reports, including meeting minutes and project summaries.
