Arcadis is seeking an Environmental Scientist or Geologist to join their Resilience Environment team in the New Jersey and Tristate area. This role involves both field and office work, with a significant focus on environmental site characterization, investigation, and remediation tasks. The team emphasizes mentorship and professional growth, aiming to improve quality of life through sustainable solutions. Candidates will be trained to oversee various fieldwork activities while ensuring health and safety standards are met.

• BA or BS in Environmental Science, Geology or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the field
• Current OSHA HAZWOPER 40 HR / 8 HR training is preferred
• Candidates must have a good driving record
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and for extended periods

• Assist Project Managers and Task Managers in planning and executing environmental site characterization and remediation tasks.
• Conduct fieldwork including soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling.
• Prepare subcontracts and oversee the work of subcontractors.
• Write and prepare technical reports, work plans, letters, and memoranda.
• Coordinate tasks, compile and interpret data, and prepare cost estimates.
• Develop health and safety plans, regulatory file reviews, and proposals.
• Manage project strategy, schedule, and budget.
