• 6+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 6+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
• 6+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Experience as a mentor or tech lead for an engineering team
• 6+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

• Own the architecture of the team's most critical services and ensure their correctness and scalability.
• Drive technology choices related to data and storage models and document trade-offs for future reference.
• Mentor SDE-1s and SDE-2s to enhance their design judgment and maintain engineering standards.
• Identify systemic risks and drive root-cause fixes to eliminate potential failures.
• Influence the team's technical roadmap and represent the team in cross-team technical forums.
• Translate research from Applied Scientists into production-ready services.
