This role is part of the global controls team focused on troubleshooting, project management, and maintaining building management and electrical power monitoring systems in AWS data centers. The position involves developing new processes and standards while innovating in the controls space. The candidate will work with various mechanical and electrical components, ensuring their proper integration and functionality. This role may require up to 40% travel to support site operations and project needs.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant controls experience, or 10+ years of relevant controls experience in lieu of a degree.
• 4+ years of general project or vendor management experience associated with construction and project execution.
• Experience designing, configuring, programming, installing, troubleshooting or servicing HVAC Controls or Electrical SCADA systems.
• Experience using common industrial communication protocols such as MQTT, BACnet, and/or MODBUS.
• Demonstrated understanding of engineering documentation, electrical and mechanical diagrams, and standard operating procedures.

• Train and assist internal customers and stakeholders with the creation, design, configuration, validation, installation, commissioning, and operation of BMS and EPMS systems.
• Provide technical assistance and support to operations during the life cycle of the data center.
• Review results and action items from quarterly maintenance for BMS and EPMS and take actions to resolve them.
• Develop BMS and EPMS project scopes of work, schedules, budgets, and levels of effort to meet customer requests.
• Manage the scope, schedule, finance, and execution of BMS and EPMS improvement projects.
• Assist in procurement activities including requests for quotations, proposals, and review of vendor proposals.
• Participate in the AWS global on-call schedule to provide immediate BMS and EPMS technical support.
• Attend project-related meetings, coordinate with project leaders, and regularly report status to management.
• Support commissioning activities related to controls projects in the data centers.
• Review, implement, troubleshoot, and iterate on the controls sequence of operation and provide feedback to the design team.
• Develop and modify controls logic programming and graphical user interfaces.
• Manage multiple stakeholder deliverables and navigate challenging situations.
• Financially manage BMS and EPMS service contracts.
• Frequently visit assigned in-operation data centers to troubleshoot and supervise vendor work.
