Job description

NVIDIA is seeking a deeply technical engineering manager to lead a core team focused on building a safety-ready agentic workflow for complex C/C++/Rust systems software and drivers. This role involves combining AI agents, systems engineering, and functional-safety practices into a production platform. The manager will oversee the development of workflows that ensure the reliability and correctness of software systems critical to autonomous vehicles and medical robots. The position emphasizes creating an engineering culture that values invention, technical depth, and quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ overall years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of managing and delivering large-scale, complex software projects.
  • Strong understanding of safety-critical system development and relevant industry standards such as ISO 26262 and DO-178C.
  • Outstanding problem-solving abilities and the capacity to perform well under pressure.
  • Effective communication and partnership skills, enabling productive work with different teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a high-impact core team building the future safety-ready agentic workflow for complex C/C++/Rust systems software and drivers.
  • Define the architecture and technical strategy for taking clear specifications through design, implementation, integration, testing, debugging, validation, review, and release.
  • Build agents and workflows that perform real systems-development work, including feature implementation, defect diagnosis and repair, regression analysis, refactoring, test development, performance optimization, and compatibility analysis.
  • Develop the harnesses, skills, tools, evaluations, deterministic validators, observability, and feedback loops that make agentic development dependable and continuously improving.
  • Create an engineering culture that combines ambitious invention with intellectual honesty, technical depth, measurable evidence, and an uncompromising quality bar.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
